Iranian-Afghan film ‘Elephantbird’ is slated to be screened at the Sedicicorto International Film Festival in Italy.
The film directed by Amir Masoud Soheili, will compete at the Iran Fest section of the event.
The 16th edition of the Italian fest is to host a lineup of 15 short films from Iran.
“The last wish of an old Afghan man is to give his ‘elephant-bird’ (turkey) to his grandchild, but this simple wish is hard to realize,” a synopsis for the film reads.
‘Elephantbird’ attended the 23rd AVANCA - International Meeting of Cinema, TV, Video and Multimedia in Portugal this July.
Since its establishment in 2004, the Sedicicorto has been held every year in the month of October in the city of Forli.
The gala is aimed to offer visibility to young authors and to provide an opportunity for film industry professionals to exchange experiences.
The 16th Sedicicorto International Film Festival will take place on October 4-13, 2019.
